Revising Relativity

The goal of this page is to communicate the outline for my work to scientists, readers, & enthusiasts at all levels.

Research into General Relativity (GR) is stagnating:

110 years has passed since significant advancement.
As it is currently formulated, GR cannot be linked with Quantum Mechanics (QM).
- QM is fundamentally based on conservation of energy, where GR is not.
  - Emmy Noether & David Hilbert each published statements that the characteristic feature of GR is that it does not abide by conservation of energy.
- There is no precedent for any field of physics to violate conservation of energy, ever.

Much of the machinery within General Relativity is strong & worth saving: Riemann Geometry, tensor operations, linkage of space+time, & the deformability of spacetime. Some of it is not worth saving.

To make progress, we must overcome a century of entrenchment, disassemble GR to it's core, note the triumphs, & objectively evaluate the failures.

We forcefully invoke conservation of energy as foundational, then cascade thru a series of mathematical principles:

Conservation of Energy → Noether Theorum → Lagrangian Mechanics → New Theory.

Today we have those pieces independently but it isn't formalized together.

We're left with unanswerable questions about whether energy of a photon changes as it is gravitationally redshifted? Is the speed of light invariant under the Schwarzchild metric? Scientists arguing about special interpretations.

Planck's 'Constant,' Permittivity, & Permeability of free space are variable.

Newton's Gravitational Constant

Here we will investigate the derived unit structure for Newton's Gravitational Constant, 'Big G'.

Why it is variable & how it's inclusion in the Einstein Field Equation + geometrized units is inappropriate.

Paper #4a

The Mechanism of Gravity

Einstein & Newton did not propose a mechanism for how or why gravity operates, simply models for how to estimate it's strength.

In this work we will propose a mechanism for how gravity operates, why it is so weak, & if/how it changes over time.

Cosmological Model

In this work we will propose a cosmological model to answer some of the biggest questions in physics. How did the universe start? Where is it going? Why is it expanding? Will it contract?

Paper #6a

The Stress- Energy Tensor

This paper is a long way from completion, but early concepts hint at a Quantum Mechanical model.

Our world is filled w/ discrete particles (atoms, nucleons, hadrons, bosons, etc.) & quantized energy states each providing discrete amounts of spacetime deformation to the stress-energy tensor.

Consider a hydrogen atom, a helium atom, or an iron atom. Each itself a wholly contained bundle of mass/energy, added only in whole number increments with no half-multiple of atoms allowed.

The same is true for subatomic states, single electrons & protons (& all the other hadrons/leptons) floating around, each are again whole units where we see no half-electrons or quarter-protons.

Beyond this the quark scale mechanics are known to be quantized, and again these lend themselves to quantizable spacetime deformation.
